چکیده

The harmful impacts of ozone (O3) on plant development and productivity have been excessively studied. Furthermore, the positive influences its low concentrations still need to be explored further. present study was performed assess impact O3 two sweet pepper hybrids under cold stress. ozonated water utilized for seed soaking or foliar application at 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 ppm. Seed using 1 h compared in distilled as a control. Moreover, exogenously sprayed thrice three-day intervals with untreated differences between applied methods (seed water) were not statistically detected most evaluated parameters. On other hand, displayed significant studied parameters, superiority Lirica evident germination seedling growth Both significantly improved In particular, concentration ppm highest enhancement index, coefficient velocity, quality. addition, it promoted maintenance high relative content (RWC), chlorophyll, proline, ascorbate peroxidase activity stress conditions. protected cell wall from damage by decreasing membrane permeability (MP). Generally, best results obtained followed 30 spray. pointed out possible use protect plants during early growth.

Comparison of Physiological Traits of Two Sweet Pepper Cultivars under Salinity Stress

In order to investigate the effect of salinity on the physiology of two cultivars of green and orange bell peppers, an experiment was conducted at the Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran in 2019. The experiment was a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design in the greenhouse, in which treatments included four salinity levels (irrigation with normal water, irrigation wi...

Effects of Foliar Application of Salicylic Acid on Growth and Physiological Attributes of Cowpea under Water Stress Conditions

The possible alleviating effects of salicylic acid on protection of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) cv. Parastu under water stress conditions were investigated in the University of Zanjan Agriculture Research Station during 2008. Water stress was imposed by withholding irrigation at 50% flowering (flowering water stress, FWS) and when 50% of the pods grew 2-3cm (pod-formation water stress, PFWS). Sa...

Assessment Effect of Chitosan Foliar Application on Total Chlorophyll and Seed Yield of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Under Water Stress Conditions

Crop show morphological and physiological responses to microbial, physical or chemical factors which are known as elicitors. Chitosan is a natural biopolymer modified from chitin, which is the main structural component of squid pens, cell walls of some fungi and crab shells. Water stress is one of the most important abiotic stresses that affects plant physiological and morphological traits. In ...
